Day One at SkyLab Bootcamp
I love my mini-job! I organize, guide, teach, and learn from the most amazing group of women every time we hold a SkyLab bootcamp. As I struggle with trying to be a mother, I am reminded that there are so many ways to nurture and "mother" without having a child of my own (yet!).
While the bulk of what we teach is healthy eating and intense exercise, there is a current that runs throughout that focuses on the power of positive thinking. Of course, this always brings me back to fertility. Reminding myself that wanting to be pregnant is not enough. Am I really doing what it takes to increases my changes of pregnancy? Am I eating right or making excuses to eat things I shouldn't? Am I justifying "splurges" or just saying that a baby means more?
These are questions that need to be asked every day, all day. And not just about food and exercise. Am I taking time for me? Am I keeping stress under control? Do I have positive, support people in my life? Am I making sure there is room in my life for a little one?
I will address each of these every day I'm here and continue to address them when I get home. They are important questions...
